If there’s one thing worse than being fired from the grottiest restaurant in town, it’s coming home early to find your boyfriend in bed with someone else.

Reeling from the indignity of a double dumping on the same day, Georgina snatches at the next job that she’s offered – barmaid in a newly opened pub, which just so happens to run by the boy she fell in love with at school: Lucas McCarthy. And whereas Georgina (voted Most Likely to Succeed in her school yearbook) has done nothing but dead-end jobs in the last twelve years, Lucas has not only grown into a broodingly handsome man, but also has turned into an actual grown-up with a business and a dog along the way.

Meeting Lucas again not only throws Georgina’s rackety present into sharp relief, but also brings a dark secret from her past bubbling to the surface. Only she knows the truth about what happened on the last day of school, and why she’s allowed it to chase her all these years…

When you pick up Don’t You Forget About Me you will instantly start laughing. This book was so great. I laughed, I related and I cheered for the main character. Something about this book reminded me a little about Marvelous Mrs Maisel, probably because they’re both so bad ass!

Georgina, the main gal of this gem, is 100% awesome. She goes through some pretty tough and relatable life moments but she’s not a bumbling dud (*cough I love you Bridget Jones but…*). Girl was so freaking great I really liked her. Within 10 pages I was hooked and wanted to be more like her. She also grows in the book. I find it so frequent that female leads in romance books grow very little which ultimately disappoints me. Not Georgina, you have to meet George.

This rom com was definitely more humorous than romance. Ha, more com than rom. So if you’re new to the romance scene this is a great one to pick up! And you more seasoned romance readers will love it because it’s different and spunky and did I say it’ll make you laugh?

You obviously have to read this one friends, enjoy!

**Thank you Harper Collins Canada for sending me the ARC in exchange for an honest review.**
