Sixteen-year-old photography enthusiast Zoey has been fascinated by the haunted, burnt-out ruins of Medwyn Mill House for as long as she can remember–so she and her best friend, Poulton, run away from home to explore them. But are they really alone in the house? And who will know if something goes wrong?
In 1851, seventeen-year-old Roan arrives at the Mill House as a ward–one of three, all with something to hide from their new guardian. When Roan learns that she is connected to an ancient secret, she must escape the house before she is trapped forever.
1583. Hermione, a new young bride, accompanies her husband to the wilds of North Wales where he plans to build the largest water mill and mansion in the area. But rumors of unholy rituals lead to a tragic occurrence and she will need all her strength to defeat it.
Three women, centuries apart, drawn together by one Unholy Pact. A pact made by a man who, more than a thousand years later, may still be watching…
This was 100% a title grab! I read the title and instantly thought… well anything creepy with teeth in the title gets my attention. I have no idea what that says about me but let’s just go with it. Because this was so great! Young adult horror is few and far between but I can say of the horror I’ve read in the young adult genre I’ve totally been sucked in and loved every word written. Teeth In The Mist will completely pull you in!
Simultaneously I was watching Penny Dreadful in the background and that totally set the mood for this book! This is loosely based on the legend of Faust – he who sells his soul to the devil for power and immense knowledge. There are 3 timelines carved into this book and I loved how we bounced from one to the other. It flowed well and I wanted to know more from each portion.
Do not go into this one thinking it isn’t dark. It’s dark my friends! Dark and delicious and creepy and I loved every bit of it. I am here for more YA horror please! Looking forward to reading more by Kurtagich.
