Every Christmas, Wren is chased through the woods near her isolated village by her family’s enemies—the Judges—and there’s nothing that she can do to stop it. Once her people, the Augurs, controlled a powerful magic. But now that power lies with the Judges, who are set on destroying her kind for good.

In a desperate bid to save her family, Wren takes a dangerous undercover assignment—as an intern to an influential Judge named Cassa Harkness. Cassa has spent her life researching a transformative spell, which could bring the war between the factions to its absolute end. Caught in a web of deceit, Wren must decide whether or not to gamble on the spell and seal the Augurs’ fate.

Are you a fan of The Raven Cycle? And haven’t been able to find anything like it in awhile? Well! The Wren Hunt is here and you have to read it if you’re a fan. It has that same witchy vibe and mysterious plots with old legends and modern age mixed in. And it worked!
I also really enjoyed all the references to old Irish folkore and the age old battle between The Judges and The Aguers. This is a stand-alone so you definitely need to grab it. The way nature played a part in this book was absolutely beautiful to me. I couldn’t get enough of it.
**Thank you Raincoast Books for sending a copy of The Wren Hunt my way in exchange for an honest review.**
