In her childhood, Rose Franklin accidentally discovered a giant metal hand buried beneath the ground outside Deadwood, South Dakota. As an adult, Dr. Rose Franklin led the team that uncovered the rest of the body parts which together form Themis: a powerful robot of mysterious alien origin.

She, along with linguist Vincent, pilot Kara, and the unnamed Interviewer, protected the Earth from geopolitical conflict and alien invasion alike. Now, after nearly ten years on another world, Rose returns to find her old alliances forfeit and the planet in shambles. And she must pick up the pieces of the Earth Defense Corps as her own friends turn against each other.

This final enstallment in The Themis Files was such a great conclusion! I continue to recommend Sleeping Giants to everyone who is looking for a fresh new sci-fi read. I really liked this trilogy! It was new and different and SO GOOD. I can’t wait for this to be a movie!!
Sometimes you’ll get to the end of a series and you’re either tired or disappointed but when a series comes to a solid end it feels so good! I won’t go into the details because I really don’t want to spoil this one which in turn would spoil the first two but I will say this – I’m so happy!
**Thank you Penguin Canada for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.**
