Oh what a delight! I absolutely loved this! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book before where I loved the side characters more than the main characters and wanted more more more from them. Going to break this post down in a different way… by characters!

Mr. Croup & Mister Vandemar

OH MY GOSH, these two were hilarious! I am obsessed with these two. They were so deliciously dark and creepy. I was hooked to every part that had them in it. The banter between these two was amazing and I just wanted more. What are the chances Mr. Gaiman will grace us with an entire book of short stories focusing on Mr. Croup & Mister Vandemar. It’s been a week since I finished and I’m still thinking about them!

I liked Door! She is one of the main characters but there was something missing for me. She was so mysterious I really wanted more from her. I wanted to know everything about her past and I needed to be inside her head more. It fell a bit short for me here.

Oh man I did not connect with Richard AT ALL. This is why I did not give the book 5 stars. I just didn’t find anything about him that I really liked. He was just kind of there and he was needed to progress the book. I found this strange because Gaiman’s main POVs are usually so strong but not for this one for some reason.

Oooooo, such a minor character but I loved her! Not going to say anything more about her though.

GUYS, read it! That’s all I have left to say.
